Welcome to the new home for Fenerbahçe

It is with great pleasure that I welcome everyone to new Offside home for Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübü. I’ll be getting you caught-up shortly on the exciting pre-season developments of the club, most notably the stewardship by the legendary Luis Aragonés and of-course the important second-round Champions League qualifying match against Serbian powerhouse FK Partizan this Wednesday.

We’re going a lot of fun here, in respect of the extraordinary level of Football played in beautiful Turkey and I am hopeful all of you will join in. As a final word, which is unfortunate given most won’t read this, I would like to make it known that I take great pride in writing this blog and will work hard to ensure it follows a strict guideline of decorum. Within my career I have published a great deal and am respectful of the importance of responsible publishing but sadly aware that sometimes that is forgotten in the blogging world. In asking to provide this blog I wanted to convey not only my respect for a beautiful brand of the game played in Turkey, the club Fenerbahçe but also the people of Turkey.

If you choose to read and comment on my blog I ask you to please follow the same decorum and not say anything insulting towards other clubs or the like. While I enjoy a healthy taste of competition and rivalries, commentary should be respectful in a gentlemanly fashion. I will not allow anything I am associated with to be disrespectful in any manner and for those that insist upon posting insulting comments or swear in their posts, I will delete them and all subsequent posts from that email and ip address. The beauty of the beautiful game is how it brings us together and this blog will uphold that vow.
