great derby day against Galatasaray

By: j | November 8th, 2008

The great derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe has come with Şükrü Saraçoğlu being the host. Following the uplifting performance against Arsenal this week, the Yellow Canaries must turn their attention to the Süper Lig campaign which is one of the worst in memory. At present Fenerbahçe sits in the bottom half of the table with thirteen meager points in nine matches. Şükrü Saraçoğlu has maintained itself as a fortress to which they have yet to loose this season. Galatasaray is coming off mid-week victory in the UEFA Cup against Portuguese side Benfica as well as a impressive victory over Gaziantepspor in league action whilst scoring at the stunning rate. Their attacking component is directly matched-up with the Yellow Canaries horrible defensive woes and will need to be a focal point in Luis Aragonés tactical plan. The big news around the Fenerbahçe camp is the return of Emre Belözoğlu although they still must deal with the problems of tactics and poor commitment on both ends of the pitch.
