Fenerbahçe v İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor match preview
By: j | February 8th, 2009Sunday afternoons derby between Fenerbahçe and İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor is of utmost importance, with the Yellow Canaries having a glorious opportunity to get back in the championship hunt. A victory would bring them level with Galatasaray and move them with four points of Sivasspor and Trabzonspor, tied for first.
Luis Aragonés should have no match selection problems for the match although he is without Selçuk Şahin, Josico and Edu Dracena. The debut of teen phenom Abdülkadir Kayalı, who came over from Ankaragücü in January will still have to wait as he is out with a modest injury.
The Yellow Canaries will need to be much more aggressive than last week if they are going to come out with three points. Abdullah Avcı will have his club ready to defend and although they sit in the bottom half of the table are considerably better at home. While the crowd will have a strong Fenerbahçe sentiment to it, Luis Aragonés must be more aggressive in the attack or this match will grind down to a snails pace.
