Fenerbahçe v Antalyaspor match preview

By: j | December 14th, 2008

Following the disappointment of the Champions League loss against Dynamo Kyiv, Fenerbahçe will need to respond with an emphatic victory over Antalyaspor at Sukru Saracoglu. Luis Aragonés reign has continuously been under-fire during the first half of the season and needs three points today to move above at Beşiktaş for fourth place.

Luis Aragonés is without Semih Şentürk and Emre Belözoğlu, Tümer Metin and Selçuk Şahin are all questionable. Antalyaspor’s manager, Mehmet Özdilek seems to have solved his clubs early season problems with consecutive draws against Kayserispor, Kocaelispor,Bursaspor and Eskişehirspor, allowing only a single goal during that span in a brilliant display of defending. While the side from beautiful Antalya are heard of little outside of Turkey, their noble effort this year has been impressive. Their disciplined play is possibly the most challenging of tactical approaches that the Yellow Canaries could face and Luis Aragonés will need to be at their best against them to earn three points.

I will report on the match as it concludes.
