Fenerbahçe shows little in 1-1 draw to Gaziantepspor

The fine line between one teams success and another failure is a curious case. On Sunday evening Fenerbahçe showed little effort as they played to a 1-1 draw against Gaziantepspor at Şükrü Saracoğlu. Yet from a different angle Nurullah Sağlam should be credited for coming into one of the sports toughest settings and coming within a whisper of leaving with a victory. I’d say considering their 1-0 defeat of the Yellow Canaries in the opening week, Gaziantepspor and of course Mr. Sağlam, is deserving of great respect.
On the attack from the start of the match Gaziantepspor took the match to Fenerbahçe and it should be stressed they did so it want some call the Yellow Canaries “fortress.” Once again Kâzım Kâzım started the match on the bench and while the young man is highly coveted by clubs throughout the world, I suggest his lack of involvement as a fixture will be reason enough for him to leave at the next opportunity. Luckily for Fenerbahçe, Gaziantepspor’s finishing was on par with the home sides problems and the match was scoreless till the eighty second minute when Erman Özgür volleyed former Santos-man Tabata’s cross in. Only three minutes later Alex was provided the ball by Semih Sentürk and the veteran made no mistake to bring the match to its final 1-1 score.

Fener looked much better when Semih came on in the second half.
