Bursaspor match preview

By: j | October 25th, 2008

Heading into this weekends match against Bursaspor in Süper Lig action, Fenerbahçe is a whirlwind of rumours. Whether it is the imminent departure of Daniel Güiza, the foul quality of defenders or the firing of Luis Aragonés, the situation around the Yellow Canaries is far from settled. The club is listing in unchartered waters with their worst start on record and the Samet Aybaba-led Timsahlar know that there has never been a better chance for glory at Şükrü Saracoğlu then now. Make no mistake about it, with the Yellow Canaries are reeling, clubs will not let up and in-fact throw gas on the fire. Confident from last campaigns 2-0 victory over Fenerbahçe in Istanbul, after defeating Galatasaray they are committed to a run for a European spot.

The visitors will be without İbrahim Öztürk while the troubled Luis Aragonés will be missing Ay-Yıldızlılar capped trio of Emre Belözoğlu, Gökhan Gönül and Önder Turacı. For the Yellow Canaries to be victories they will need composure and leadership from on the pitch particularly from Semih Şentürk has shown a steadying influence and Kâzım Kâzım, who plays light years beyond youthful twenty-two years of age.

I will report on the match as it concludes.

Samet Aybaba
